Production anniversary at the Saarlouis Ford plant: Since the start of production on June 11th, 1970, models ranging from the Escort to the legendary Capri or the current Focus and C-Max/Grand C-Max have been produced in Saarlouis. On Wednesday, June 16, the 14 millionth Ford, a Focus Sport (Red Edition) produced for a German customer, rolled off the assembly line in Saarlouis.
